RETRAINING STUDIES

Those seeking to continue their studies on to retrain, continuous or retraining studies are organized for those who have completed their studies under Higher, College or University programs. The graduates are granted professional qualification.

The study process is organized according to students‘ needs. Student-friendly study process is selected: remote work forms; short-term and long-term sessions are organized.

Retraining studies prorgamms:

  • Vocational training programme in pedagogy (duration 1 year, 60 credits).
  • Modular study programme in pre-school education (duration 1 year, 65 credits).
  • Modular study programme in primary education (duration 1 year, 65 credits).
  • Modular study programme in social pedagogy (duration 1 year, 64 credits).

THE ASSESSMENT AND RECOGNITION OF NON FORMALLY AND INFORMALLY ACQUIRED LEARNING OUTCOMES

Assessment and recognition of competences acquired by non-formal learning and self-education have been carried out at Klaipeda University since 2011 according to the procedure approved by the University (new edition: The KU Senate Resolution No. 11-5 of 01/10/2020).

The purpose is to assess adults' competences acquired by non-formal learning and self-education, and their formalisation (recognition) by credits in academic subjects, thus, enabling them to continue their university studies under to the chosen bachelor's programme.

This procedure enables a person to receive a degree within a much shorter time and at a lower cost.

The Center can carry out these through informal adult education programs acquired skills assessment and recognition procedures:
